The Atlas Chalet Shingle was manufactured to provide a dimensional appearance in a granule overlay shingle. It is not a true architectural shingle but achieved a similar appearance by using a varying color pallet and thickness to create a shadow line. The result is a terrible shingle that provides curb appeal of an architectural shingle. Many problems with the atlas chalet shingle became apparent within the first year such as blistering, significant loss of granulation and premature cracking.
